GNEK-opdatering oor data-oordrag

Die Kantoor vir Gesondheidnavorsingetiek wag steeds op die dataoordrag van hul vorige elektroniese stelsel (InfoEd) na die nuwe elektroniese stelsel (Infonetica).

Hulle het die volgende boodskap gestuur:

Until the data migration is complete, they are unable to open the Infonetica system to researchers for continuing review submissions attached to existing/active research projects.

In the interim, the HREC Office is accepting “urgent” continuing review submissions for:

1)     Serious Adverse Events (SAEs);

2)     Requests of similar urgency that may impact on participant safety;

3)     Annual Progress Reports for studies that are expiring;

4)     Amendments that may affect participant safety;

5)     Any other urgent submissions that might impact negatively and severely on your research project if not processed urgently by HREC (these should be motivated for in a cover letter accompanying your application and will be assessed for acceptance by HREC coordinators).

Kindly submit ONE HARD COPY of each application for continuing review to Mrs Elvira Rohland, RDSD, Room 5007, Teaching Building, and ONE ELECTRONIC COPY to ethics@sun.ac.za . Please contact the HREC Office if you are in doubt of what to submit to HREC for continuing review.

Kindly note that these “urgent” submissions are processed manually (outside of any electronic system). They are currently tracking and processing in excess of 300 of these “urgent” submissions and would encourage you to only submit the “urgent” submissions listed above. Processing applications outside of the electronic system will have implications for the full data load on your project moving forward.

They apologise for any inconvenience caused and are doing everything they can to expedite this process.
