The SANRC would like to request
articles for publication in a special FYE edition of Journal of Student
Affairs in Africa (JSAA) to be released in 2018. The JSAA is a
DHET-accredited journal. The SANRC will be guest-editing this special
FYE edition of JSAA.
The SANRC is looking for a maximum of 12
articles in total, both of a research-based and reflective practice
nature. We would like to include 2-3 book reviews. We are requesting
articles which relate to a critical understanding or experience of the
First-Year Experience (FYE) in South Africa. Institutional perspectives
of the FYE and how it is constituted at different universities in South
Africa are welcome.
The special FYE edition of JSAA will be
released in 2018. Information about JSAA, for e.g. the required style
format, can be obtained from the JSAA website, http://www.jsaa.ac.za.
The timeframes for submission are enclosed below. Kindly assess
carefully whether you will be able to fully meet the following
timeframes before you commit to this initiative.
If you wish to submit an article to be considered for inclusion in this edition of JSAA, you will need to:
1.
Send your article in the required JSAA style format including an
abstract and short bio-sketch to sanrcadmin@uj.ac.za by latest 30
September 2017. Once you have submitted an article to be considered for
inclusion in this edition of JSAA, a SANRC committee will review your
article(s) and timeously inform you about the outcome of your
submission, i.e. whether or not your submission will be included in this
edition of JSAA.
2. Attend to the editorial commentary of peer reviewers by latest 30 November 2017.
Should
you have any questions about this initiative, please contact Ms Lebo

in this special edition of JSAA.
