The FMHS
Ithemba Bursary Fund established in 2015 provides critical financial support to students who do not qualify for funding via other structures. Ithemba is synonymous with the HOPE Project of the late SU Rector, Prof Russel Botman, and is a fitting way to promote his legacy of providing hope to students who otherwise would not have been able to further their studies. The Tygerberg Pantry Project also needs your support. They provide essential food and toiletries to students facing financial hardship. Given Gain crowdfunding campaign is also running to raise money for the purchase of an Olympus bronchoscope, used to investigate the airways of sick babies and children to improve the diagnostic abilities for tuberculosis and malignancy, which are often diagnosed late; and for interventional procedures.
