Sedertdien het die US reeds 21 onderriggenootskappe toegeken.</span></p><p style="color:#000000;"></p><p style="color:#000000;font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium;text-align:justify;"><span style="font-family:raleway;font-size:14px;">US dosente wat tans ’n onderriggenootskap het, is: prof. Die literatuur voer aan dat die oorgang na responsiewe en kontekstueel tersaaklike kurrikulums ʼn belangrike strategie is om studente toe te rus om klinies bevoeg en krities bewus te wees van die kontekste waarbinne hulle gesondheidsorg lewer. Daar is egter min bekend oor hoe studente maatskaplike responsiwiteit verstaan en die implikasies daarvan vir hulle betrokkenheid by die herformulering van gesondheidsberoepe se kurrikulums om meer responsief te wees. </span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-family:raleway;font-size:14px;">Hierdie aanbieding sal fokus op ʼn kwalitatiewe studie wat die ervarings van voorgraadse finalejaar- mediese studente ten opsigte van maatskaplike responsiwiteit verken het. </span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-family:raleway;font-size:14px;">Wanneer maatskaplik regverdige pedagogieë gebruik word om insig in die studenteperspektiewe te bekom, blyk dit dat die studente uitgedruk het dat die kurrikulum geleenthede gebied het om met konsepte verbonde aan maatskaplike geregtigheid en gelykheid om te gaan. Hierdie geleenthede was egter minder frekwent en is van as van minder waarde beskou, vergeleke met biomediese kennis. Daarbenewens skep die kultuur en tradisies van geneeskunde toestande wat studente as verbruikers van die kurrikulum posisioneer. Nietemin het die studente die begeerte uitgedruk om medeskeppers van die proses van transformasie van die kurrikulum te wees.</span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-family:raleway;font-size:14px;">Soos die gesondheidberoepe-onderwys verskuif na die bevordering van maatskaplike geregtigheid, is dit noodsaaklik dat die kurrikulums aan studente toegang bied tot die soort kennis en vaardighede wat hulle sal bemagtig om onregte aan te pak en responsief teenoor gesondheidsongelykhede te raak. Dit noodsaak die herformulering van wat as magtige kennis in mediese onderwys beskou word om maatskaplike geregtigheid in te sluit. Sy het ʼn PhD in Gesondheidsberoepe-onderwys van die Universiteit Stellenbosch, en ʼn MPhil in Gestremdheidstudies en ʼn BSc in Oudiologie van die Universiteit van Kaapstad. Sy stel veral belang in maatskaplike geregtigheid deur onderwys, maatskaplik regverdige pedagogieë, transformerende leer, dekolonialiteit, interprofessionele onderwys en medewerkende praktyk, kindergesondheid en gestremdheidstudies. Die program sluit blokweekkontaksessies, individuele projekte in eie onderrig- en leeromgewings, groepprojekte en reflektiewe verslae in. Deelnemers word uit al die Suid-Afrikaanse universiteite gekies. </span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><strong style="font-family:raleway;font-size:14px;">Twee US dosente is vir die 2024-2025 TAU program gekies. </strong></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-family:raleway;font-size:14px;"><strong>Prof. Elize Archer</strong> is mede-professor in Gesondheidsberoepe-onderwys (GBO) in die Fakulteit Geneeskunde en Gesondheidswetenskappe. Haar rolle in die Sentrum vir Gesondheidsberoepe Onderwys behels toesig oor onderrig-leer-assessering in die Simulasie- en Kliniese Vaardighede Eenheid, klasgee vir en studiebegeleiding van studente in die Meesters in GBO-program, en professionele leer vir dosente in die Fakulteit. Sy begelei ook doktorale studente in GBO. Volschenk se onderriggenootskap is om die bou van meesterskap in die US MHPE te ondersoek en bevorder. Viserektor: Leer en Onderrig prof Deresh Ramjugernath het in sy toespraak die US se OLA-‘kampioene’ gelukgewens en hulle onwrikbare toewyding aan OLA geprys. Prof Ramjugernath het beklemtoon dat uitnemendheid in OLA bepalend is vir sukses in die US se strewe om die toonaangewende navorsingsintensiewe universiteit in Afrika te wees. Hy het uitgewys dat navolgenswaardige OLA-praktyke nie net grondliggend aan akademiese prestasie is nie, maar ook ’n vaste grondslag vir navorsingswerk met impak lê. Prof Ramjugernath het ook die volgehoue hoë akademiese sukseskoers onder voorgraadse US-studente in die algemeen uitgelig, wat US-gegradueerdes as hoogs gesogte professionele persone in die globale arbeidsmark posisioneer. Hy het bevestig dat die US daartoe verbind is om hierdie reputasie in stand te hou deur studentesukses voorop te stel – by wyse van voortgesette ondersteuning en die verryking van OLA-ervarings. Die oogmerk van die OLA-viering is om hulde te bring aan die onskatbare waarde van bydraes deur akademici wat leierskap toon in hulle OLA, aan hulle onderskeie fakulteite en Universiteitswyd, waarmee hulle die vakkundige diskoers oor OLA aan die US verder voer. Die visie vir erkenning en beloning vir akademiese uitmuntendheid in OLA is dat dit beter pedagogiese praktyke kweek, wat uiteindelik verantwoordelike kritiese denke, probleemoplossingsvaardighede en skeppende vermoëns onder studente ontwikkel. Kennis wat as waardevol beskou word deur diegene wat hoë aansien in die veld geniet, is inherent kragtig – dit rig die wetenskap en dra by tot die kanon. Die nastreef van sulke kennis staan sentraal in die doktorale onderneming wat gekenmerk word deur 'n proses van “wees en word" soos die student die oorgang na 'n gekose dissiplinêre gemeenskap maak – 'n gemeenskap wat gedefinieer word deur 'n stel norme en waardes wat oor die tyd heen ontwikkel is, en deur wat as kennis geld binne hierdie struktuur. Die begrip van die oorsteek van grense bied 'n lens waarmee hierdie oorgang verken kan word. Doktorale skryfwerk verteenwoordig byvoorbeeld 'n spesifieke grens waarmee studente moet omgaan soos hulle die korpus werk wat uit hulle akademiese ondernemings na vore kom probeer inskryf om uiteindelik kragtige skrywers te word (Van Schalkwyk & Jacobs, 2021). Die proses van studieleiding is sentraal in die doktorale reis en probeer hierdie omgang fasiliteer terwyl die integriteit van die dissiplinêre kanon terselfdertyd gehandhaaf word. PRONTAK 2024http://www.sun.ac.za/afrikaans/Lists/news/DispForm.aspx?ID=10369PRONTAK 2024Claudia Swart<p>​<br></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-family:raleway;font-size:16px;">Vanjaar se <strong class="ms-rteForeColor-1" style="text-decoration:underline;"><a href="/english/learning-teaching/ctl/PREDAC/predac"><span class="ms-rteForeColor-1" style="text-decoration:underline;">PRONTAK</span>​</a></strong>-program (Professionele Opvoedkundige Ontwikkeling vir Akademici) het op 29 Januarie by die Devonvale-hotel en -gholflandgoed afgeskop.</span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-family:raleway;font-size:16px;">Twee-en-sestig (62) deelnemers uit nege (9) fakulteite en een (1) sentrum het vir die program ingeskryf.</span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-family:raleway;font-size:16px;">Op grond van die terugvoer van die 2023-groep, is die kontaksessies verskuif om plaas te vind voordat klasse begin. Dit verleen aan deelnemers die buigsaamheid om te bepaal wanneer hulle die leeraktiwiteite en assesserings in die loop van die jaar wil afhandel.</span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-family:raleway;font-size:16px;">Die eerste kontaksessie het van 29 tot 31 Januarie 2024 plaasgevind. Oor hierdie drie dae het deelnemers met al die elemente van die DeLTA-raamwerk omgegaan. Die DeLTA-raamwerk (raadpleeg die afbeelding) begelei akademici deur die herhalende en sikliese proses van die ontwerp en fasilitering van, en besinning oor OLA (onderrig-leer-assessering) aan die Universiteit Stellenbosch (US) om ʼn transformerende studenteleer-ervaring in diens van die samelewing te bevorder.</span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-family:raleway;font-size:16px;">Die driedaagse kontaksessie is sodanig ontwerp dat deelnemers verskillende maniere om leer te fasiliteer kon ervaar. Deelnemers moes oor hierdie ervarings nadink en kies wat om in hulle eie OLA-kontekste toe te pas. Deelnemers het tydens verskillende leeraktiwiteite met die Onderrig- en Leerbeleid omgegaan, om hulle te vergewis van hoe die beleid hulle OLA-praktyke kan rig. Deelnemers is ook gelei om nadenkende praktisyns te raak, wat doelbewus en krities oor hulle OLA-praktyke dink en hulle professionele groei stelselmatig hersien en boekstaaf.</span></p><p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="font-family:raleway;font-size:16px;">PRONTAK bestaan uit vyf (5) fases en kulmineer in ʼn plakkaataanbieding by die <span class="ms-rteForeColor-1" style=""><strong style=""><a href="/english/learning-teaching/ctl/Pages/SoTL-Conference.aspx">Akademieskap van Onderrig en Leer-konferensie​</a></strong></span> (AvOL-).
