With 8000 students, the Faculty is the largest at the University.  We have an extensive programme in teaching and learning for this large student body, which includes 1 500 newcomer first-years annually. Book launch: Poverty & Inequality: Diagnoses, Prognosis, Responses

​The Stellenbosch launch of the above-mentioned book will take place on 23 July 2019. The book is part of the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) series named State of the Nation, and is edited by Crain Soudien, Vasu Reddy and Ingrid Woolard, with contributions from a range of other academics and experts in the field.​ Click here​ for more information.​


​​​Apply now for full-time, residential PhD programme

SU's Graduate School of Economic and Management Sciences (GEM) is accepting applications for its full-time, residential PhD programme. Suitable candidates are invited to apply before 31 July 2019 for three-year full-time doctoral scholarships in the research programmes of the Graduate School in the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, to commence studies in January 2020. Scholarships of at least R138 000 per year for three years will be awarded.
