Field of Study: Undergraduate Degrees in fields related to Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Information Systems. Specializations in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence are also eligible.

Academic Achievement: Current students who are consistently obtaining an average of 65% and above.

Education Completion: Candidates should plan to complete Tertiary education (up to Honours level or NQF level 8) by the end of 2026.

Availability: Be available to start full-time permanent employment with Amazon in January 2027, contingent upon receiving a job offer after the internship assessment.

South African Universities Only: The bursary is open to students from South African Universities.

Department of Modern Foreign Languages
In collaboration with the Stellenbosch University International (part of GEP courses- Global Education Programmes), the Department of Modern Foreign Languages offers beginners' evening classes in French, German, Spanish and Chinese. The introduction of Arabic language evening course is also being planned. The courses take place during the semester and are intended for those who have very little or no knowledge of the language.

Matie Buddy Programme
Moving from familiar surroundings to a new country with new people and new cultures is not always easy. Our Matie Buddy programme provides international students with an opportunity to connect with a local student even before they arrive in South Africa. This will help them settle into life at Stellenbosch University.
