Personeel van SOL het die afgelope jaar deelgeneem aan verskeie konferensies.

Tydens die 2019 HELTASA konferensie in Makhanda, het Dr Karin Cattell-Holden (foto bo) die paneelbespreking oor Toekennings vir Uitnemende Onderrig, gelei. 

Die titel van haar aanbieding was: ​An ‘excellence turn’? Rethinking teaching excellence awards for the public good.

SOL adviseur Jean Farmer gesels met HELTASA-lede tydens die HELTASA-konferensie (fotos bo). Jean het ‘n aanbieding gedoen oor navorsing wat handel oor skryfgeleenthede as “third spaces". Hierdie spasies skep geleenthede vir gesprekke wat deelnemers se leergeleenthede versterk en bydrae tot die transformasie van die instelling.
