The MatiesCareers portal connects SU students with both the Unit and graduate recruiters. The portal gives you as a student the opportunity to upload your CV and access career opportunities, register for work sessions and receive information on events and activities, while companies and recruiters can peruse the database of candidates and advertise job vacancies.

Phaphama SEDI (Student Entrepreneurship Development Initiative) is an NGO run by students aimed at empowering entrepreneurs from under-resourced areas to grow their businesses while providing valuable real-world experience to students.

Department of Modern Foreign Languages
In collaboration with the Stellenbosch University International (part of GEP courses- Global Education Programmes), the Department of Modern Foreign Languages offers beginners' evening classes in French, German, Spanish and Chinese. The introduction of Arabic language evening course is also being planned. The courses take place during the semester and are intended for those who have very little or no knowledge of the language.

Matie Buddy Programme
Moving from familiar surroundings to a new country with new people and new cultures is not always easy. Our Matie Buddy programme provides international students with an opportunity to connect with a local student even before they arrive in South Africa. This will help them settle into life at Stellenbosch University.
