Strengthening M&E Practices at the Zambia Revenue Authority
The Stellenbosch University School of Public Leadership recently had the privilege of delivering an executive training course to the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA), focusing on Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) practices
This program provided an invaluable opportunity for ZRA planning, monitoring and evaluation unit to review, refine, and enhance their M&E frameworks—ensuring more effective policy implementation, performance tracking, and decision-making. Expert lectures were complemented by interactive discussions and case studies from the revenue authority and provided a framework to reflect on current practices within the authority and how this can be strengthened. The training reinforced the role of M&E as a strategic tool to implement data driven governance and accountability to optimise revenue collection and service delivery. A big thank you to the ZRA team for their engagement and commitment to continuous improvement! We look forward to seeing the impact of these strengthened M&E systems in driving efficiency and transparency.
