BYOD & e-Assessment 

A Brief History…

• The BYOD project started its developmental process in June 2013.
• It went live in January 2014 but the first BYOD e-Assessment was written on 24^th March 2014 with 66 students
• Students access the LMS via a virtual desktop and this is used to ensure that all students have the same user experience.
• We are the first University on the African continent to do this.
• From March 2014 – June 2016, 13351 e-Assessments have been written using BYOD.
• There are 1693 registered BYOD users currently on the network (June 2016)
