FVZS: HEALTH AND LEADERSHIP

This course will be presented online and applications are open to all students.


The Health and Leadership (Healthy US) short course intends to create a space for students to develop a comprehension of the healthcare system as a reflection of the broader political and socio-economic historical developments nationally and globally. Participants of this course will be informed and equipped with the adequate knowledge and skills to navigate the multifaceted arena of health, healthcare, and personal well-being as aspiring leaders. Underpinned by a strong focus on both mental and physical health, participants will engage extensively with worldviews surrounding health and healthcare and will demonstrate an understanding of the multi-pronged dimensions of self-care in both a professional and personal setting. The course enables participants to think critically about factors influencing society's perceptions of health and their role as agents of change in the educational aspect of health and personal well-being.

Cost: R625 for citizens of African countries; R1875 for other nationals – payable in cash or on your student account.
