Applications for this course are open to members of the public.The African Leadership Development Programme (ALDP) is an online NQF 6 short course offered through Stellenbosch University. The aim is to provide participants with an opportunity to explore African identity and leadership through an Afrocentric lens, over an engaging and innovative online platform. The course is focused on unpacking and critically reflecting upon the past, present and future of African leadership offering participants an opportunity to co-create and envision a future for African leadership with fellow Africans.

Duration: 11 March – 10 May 2019
Short course objectives:
Through this course participants will unpack the history of African identity, leadership within the African context and unpack the past and present factors which have informed African leadership with an aim to envision a future for African leadership.
Short course themes:
Through an engaging online platform with informative video content, reading material, guided group discussions and critical reflection participants will unpack five core themes: African identity, leadership and Africa, leadership in the African context, challenges facing African leadership and the future of African leadership.
