Dr Gugu Kali
Dr
Kali is a neonatologist working at Stellenbosch University/Tygerberg Hospital
in Cape Town, South Africa. She did her training in paediatrics and neonatology
at UCT, and then spent some time working in academic centres in the UK
(Hammersmith Hospital, London) and Ireland (National Maternity Hospital,
Dublin). Her main interests are neonatal hypoxic ischaemic injury and
neuroptotection. She has published papers on this topic in peer-reviewed
journals, and has presented lectures/workshops on therapeutic hypothermia and
neuroprotection locally and internationally. She is currently busy with a PhD
in neonatology.
