​​​​​This is a formal sub-committee of the Stellenbosch University REC: SBER ​within the Faculty of Military Science, mandated to review and provisionally approve low risk research of the FMS (Read SBER: REC SOP​ for the detailed description of risk classification).​ The FESC meets twice a month, first and third Wednesdays from January to November. Ethics application should be submitted timeously. The FESC does not meet in December.
