ENT for Medical Students

ENT teaching for MBChB students occurs in three forms:

Year II MBChB: Respiratory Module includes ENT

Year III MBChB: Neurosciences Module includes ENT

Year V-VI MBChB: Dedicated ENT block (three weeks)

ENT for ENT Registrars

Structure:

Six registrars at a time receive a four year preperation for specialist examinations through the College of Surgeons of SA [FCS(SA)ORL] or the Stellenbosch University [MMed:ORL].

ENT for Family Practitioners

The division participates with enthusiasm in family practitioner education through two entities:

• Stellmed continued medical education 
• The division Family Medicine and Primary Care programme (MFamMed)

• Structured Approach to Throat, Head & Neck
• Nasal Fracture Reduction under Local Anaesthetic
• Sinusitis

ENT for Allied Health Sciences
