The Community Nutrition team has expertise in the domains of Global -, Public Health and Community Nutrition. Collectively, these domains focus on interventions, policies and programmes aimed at sustainable improvements in the food and nutrition system preventing and managing nutrition-related diseases and promoting the nutritional wellbeing of communities, populations and people worldwide. First years are introduced to the module Becoming a Health Professional, followed by Nutrition in the Lifecyle in the second year, which provides a basis for Community Nutrition in the second, third and fourth years. Students are exposed to the primary health care setting from the second year onwards.
