Prof Angela Dramowski

Associate Professr Angela Dramowski is a paediatric infectious diseases/infection prevention specialist and clinician researcher at Stellenbosch University’s Department of Paediatrics and Child Health in Cape Town, South Africa. Her research is focussed on development of strategies for neonatal sepsis prevention in low-resource settings. She has over a decade’s experience in infection prevention for neonatal and paediatric units, including expertise in healthcare-associated infection epidemiology, surveillance, outbreak management and antimicrobial stewardship. She received a Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) International Ambassador award in 2013 and an Emerging Global Leader career development award from the US National Institutes of Health in 2018.
