Electronic Application Process

HOE DOEN EK AANSOEK VIR NAVORSINGSETIEK-KLARING?

Let wel dat die aansoek-sisteem vir etiek-klaring is slegs beskikbaar in Engels. Enige kommunikasie rakende die stelsel asook alle handleidings sal slegs in Engels beskikbaar wees.

The REC: Humanities uses an electronic ethics review management system, Infonetica©, to manage the application and review process.

FOR APPLICANTS (Registered SU students and SU staff):

This is a new system and it is recommended that you consult the application manual for guidance: APPLICANT MANUAL

To start your application, please click here: APPLY HERE (make sure you have downloaded the applicant manual before you start)

SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:
  1. Only registered SU students and SU staff will have access to this system. If you are not yet registered, you will need to request a temporary SUNId registration from your department.
  2. The REC: Humanities cannot grant retrospective clearance in cases where data collection has commenced or is completed. Please ensure that you submit an application for ethics clearance well in advance. Please include the REC review process in your project timeline and keep in mind that your application MUST be reviewed by your Departmental/Faculty Ethics Screening Committee (DESC/FESC) before it is sent to the REC: Humanities.
  3. To login, you need to type in your SU username followed by @sun.ac.za.
