Research project

My research focus is on the analysis of the ocean carbon cycle, the drivers, and variabilities in the ocean carbon distributions as it implicates ocean acidification. I am working to increase the understanding of the variabilities in the ocean carbon cycle and the changes in the ocean pH both on short and long-term variations using extensive observational ocean pCO2 data. For the purpose, I use equilibrator based pCO2 data from ship continuous underway surface ocean observations and collect both surface ocean underway water samples and column water samples from the  CTD for  dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), total alkalinity (TA) and pH analysis.
