Title: MINERALIZATION STYLES, STRUCTURAL CONTROLS AND METAMORPHIC EVOLUTION OF GOLD MINERALIZATION IN THE KARIBIB DISTRICT, SOUTHERN CENTRAL ZONE OF THE DAMARA BELT, NAMIBIA.

This study aims to establish the mineralization styles, age of gold mineralization and structural controls of a cluster of prospects in the Karibib district of the Central Zone of the Damara Belt, some 20 km north-east of the Navachab mine. The individual gold prospects include Twin Hills (Twin Hills West, Bulge, Twin Hills Central, Clouds and Twin Hills East), Goldkuppe, Oasis and Wedge. The structural observations are mainly from orientated drill core and are used to place the prospects in the wider structural context of the region. Exposure is very poor in large parts of the arid terrain and these conditions require a careful adaptation of exploration programs. A further aim of this study is, thus, to feature the approach of structural data collection taken in this study that may guide exploration, not only in the Central Zone, but also in other extensively covered regions.
