A truly international university is one that creates a teaching and learning environment that prepares its students to be global citizens. This means students are not only academically well prepared, but also culturally attentive and up to date with global issues. On this page, you will find global learning opportunities for current Stellenbosch University students.

Global Week Videos

As part of their studies at Stellenbosch University (SU), students can apply for a semester exchange or winter/summer school opportunity at one of our partner universities. Students can also apply for a travel bursary to attend a self- identified independent summer school or short course. Independent summer schools are short term academic courses hosted by non-partner universities during the summer or winter of the northern or southern hemisphere.

Through internationalisation @ home initiatives Stellenbosch University International gives students an opportunity to develop a global mindset and become engaged citizens. SU students can take part in the following: SU Summer/Winter School, Global Citizenship short course and Matie Buddy programme.
