Welcome to the Respiratory Research Unit (RRU) of the University of Stellenbosch. We are part of the Division of Pulmonology, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences. We are located in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Building as well as at Tygerberg Academic Hospital, which are both on the Tygerberg Complex about half way between the City of Cape Town in the West and the town of Stellenbosch in the East, where the university's Main Campus is situated. We have easy access by road and train, and are only a 10minutes drive from Cape Town International Airport.
