Clinical Pharmacology
Welcome to Stellenbosch University

Division of Clinical Pharmacology

Programmes

Undergraduate teaching of medical students is integrated into practical, clinically orientated curricula. Contributions to the integrated courses are made at all levels, from the first up to the final year of study.

Our BSc Honours course is structured to allow students active participation in the research programmes of the Division. Concurrently a series of lectures and discussions cover current aspects of clinical pharmacology and molecular pharmacology/biology.

The 2 year MSc and 3 year PhD programmes are full-time and entirely research-based.

We have enrolled our first registrars in Clinical Pharmacology in 2014. This program is targeted at medical doctors intending to specialise in the discipline of Clinical Pharmacology.

The Division offers a part-time 2 year Postgraduate Diploma in Medicines Development (PGDip Med Dev) programme, which covers all aspects of medicines development.
