Failure to pay the initial fee will prevent registration unless you provide proof of funding, sponsorship, or a bursary letter.
A Universities South Africa (USAf) Matriculation Exemption Certificate is necessary if you do not have an endorsed South African Senior Certificate. For those completing Grade 12, you must submit the subjects, levels, and education board, at application. On our side, we evaluate the full set of documents (i.e. IGCSE/O-level results and subjects, AS-level subjects, if concluded or use the interim AS-level subjects and results achieved for IGCSE/O-level subjects). Upon registration at Stellenbosch University, we facilitate and assist with the Matriculation Board application. Refer to Matriculation Exemption for more information.
International Examination Boards:
For international education boards like Cambridge International, Pearson EdExcel, International Baccalaureate, etc., a full set of results, including interim results, is required. (your school/private centre/education board representative has to stamp a document referencing the subjects and levels you are busy with
Submission of Results:
If you receive results from international schooling systems after 31 July (before November), submit your predicted/mid-year results to the International Undergraduate Prospective Unit at suiundergrads@sun.ac.za promptly. (no later than 31 October).
If you receive your final results in January 2025, we will share an Upload link (Red Cap survey) by 15 December 2024
