Networks & Consortia

​​​Stellenbosch University​​ is part of over 32 institutional, international Multilateral Networks. The value of being part of multilateral Networks is, that no formal MoU has to be in place for mobilities to take place. It also offers additional funding (in some cases) as well as more interesting and innovative options to collaborate. Some Multilateral Networks are thematic while others are focused on geographical diversity.

International Network of Universities

The International Network of Universities (INU) is a global consortium comprised of higher education institutions that actively seek international partnerships and experiences, create innovative programming and delivery methods, and embrace the internationalization movement.

Association of Commonwealth Universities

Consortium Of Universities For Global Health

CUGH supports academic institutions and partners to improve the wellbeing of people and the planet through education, research, service, and advocacy.

South Africa-Sweden University Forum

SASUF is a collaboration between 36 universities in Sweden & South Africa together with embassies, civil society organizations, funding agencies & ministries in both countries.

A consortium of 21 universities from all over the world with an autonomous campus on the island of San Servolo, Venice, Italy.

Global Alliance of Universities on Climate

The mission of the Global Alliance of Universities on Climate is to advance climate change solutions through research, education, and public outreach, and to partner with industry, non-profit and government organizations to promote rapid implementation from local to global scales.

Southern African-Nordic Centre

Primary aim is to promote multilateral research cooperation on matters of importance to the development of both regions.

Social Sciences Universities Network

The Network aims at promoting the cooperation between universities with an advantage in humanities and social sciences in talent training, scientific research, academic innovation as well as policy and regulation formulation.

SGROUP

It is an integrated network of European universities and its objective is to establish cultural and socio-economic academic links, as well as to develop specific mechanisms that act as privileged channels of information and exchange in Higher Education.
