Online registration 2024 is now closed

Online self-registration for undergraduate and postgraduate students via the SUNStudent portal is now closed for the 2024 academic year.

Assisted registration until 23 February 2024

On the Stellenbosch campus, admitted undergraduate and postgraduate students who have not been able to register online, will receive administrative assistance to register in the Admin A building in Ryneveld Street until 23 February 2024.

Some master’s and doctoral students can still register

Please note that new full-thesis master’s and new doctoral students have until Thursday, 28 March 2024, to finalise their registration. Structured master’s programmes generally follow earlier registration deadlines and academic commencement dates. Students should consult their programme coordinator for clarification.

Special arrangements have been made to assist full-thesis master's and new doctoral candidates who have yet to complete their registration.

 Registration options:

Full-thesis master’s and doctoral candidates can complete their registration through one of the following channels:

  • On-campus registration on Stellenbosch Campus
Candidates can register in person at the relevant faculty administrator or officer in the Admin A building, Ryneveld Street. Contact details can be found here

  • Postgraduate registration request form
Alternatively, candidates can access the postgraduate registration request form  here. These registrations will be expedited by administrators within two business days, and applicants will receive proof of registration via email.

  • Enquiries for the School of Public Leadership and the Stellenbosch Business School (students based on Bellville Park Campus) can be sent to academicadminbpc@sun.ac.za

 Verify academic record

All students, including master’s and doctoral candidates, are urged to review their individual academic records to ensure the correctness of their registered modules, and that they align with programme requirements. Please note that the accuracy of each registration is the student’s own responsibility, as stipulated in rule 4.2.4.7 of the General Yearbook, Part 1. Students with concerns in this regard, should consult their faculty administrator as soon as possible. Contact details can be found here.
