A wide range of activities are undertaken by the Department but the three traditional pillars of tertiary institutions namely teaching, research and social impact still form the core of what we do.
The programme offering of the Department can be divided into six focus areas namely Financial Management, Financial Planning, Investment Management, Marketing Management and Entrepreneurship/Innovation/Strategic Management and International Business. In 2004 a post-graduate diploma, in Marketing was introduced.
We regard ourselves as a learning organisation of which the fundamental purpose is to prepare students for constructive functioning in different spheres of business.
