LU – SU Blended PASS Development Programme

​This programme is a dedicated bilateral mobility programme with Lund University in Sweden.This blended programme focusses on the professional development and continuing education of Professional Administrative Support Staff, the learning of new skills and the gaining of an international experience while interacting with peers.


The programme addresses in detail the topics of inter-cultural skills and inclusion and aims to provoke a joint discussion on internationalisation within diverse university fields. The topics are introduced alongside best-practice examples from Stellenbosch University and Lund University, which will be explored in joint discussions, and will be presented in a combination of online-sessions as well as face-to-face interactions.​


2024-2025  Programme 

​Building on the success of last year's program, the 2024 Lund Programme will span six months. Commencing 15 October 2024 and concluding 25 June 2025,  and feature a blend of online sessions and in-person mobility weeks at Lund University in Sweden and Stellenbosch University (SU) in South Africa.

Cost involved for participating in the programme:​

Most costs of the programme are carried by Stellenbosch University and Lund University. However, participants are expected to host Lund delegates that will job shadow with them, for a lunch (or 2) and some refreshments during their visit to Stellenbosch University.

When visiting Lund University, each participant's environment will be responsible for their daily allowance and their visa fees. SU will provide flights and Lund will provide accommodation during the onsite visit in Sweden.

2023 Prorgramme

 The 2023 Programme ran over six months and included a combination of online sessions and in-person mobility weeks at Lund University in Sweden and Stellenbosch University (SU) in South Africa.

Designed to offer an international platform for the growth of support staff, the programme aligns with SU's key strategic objectives, fostering purposeful partnerships, inclusive networks, and a commitment to being the employer of choice.

2019 Programme

The first Support Staff Mobility Programme with Lund University took place from 7 to 11 October 2019 at Lund. The 10 participants were selected from 35 applications that show the growing interest in a programme that is focused specifically on the personal and professional development of support staff.​
