In this year’s programme we aim to look at sustainability in all aspects of the university: In internationalization, teaching and curriculum development, research, as well as campus life and transfer to city and society. We understand sustainability in a holistic way, looking at environmental, economic and social aspects.
We would love to welcome you to apply for our five-day programme and engage with colleagues from Stellenbosch University (South Africa), Northwestern University (USA) and Universität Hamburg (Germany). All participants work as administrative staff in various parts of the university. The Trilateral Staff Development programme 2024 aims to foster personal development of staff and contribute to enhancing their international perspective about sustainability on campus and beyond.

Day 1 Welcome and Introduction to topic
Day 2 Policies, Strategies and Implementation
Day 3 Integrating Sustainability into Teaching and Curricula
Day 4 Research, Transfer and Regional Initiatives
Day 5 Group Presentation and farewell
The programme will include a group project. Mixed teams from all three institutions will work on projects during the week, which have the potential to be implemented at the institutions. The choice of topic is free and is decided by the groups jointly on the first day of the programme.
