HELTASA National Excellence in Teaching and Learning Award

The National University Teaching Awards (NUTA) showcases the outstanding impact of individuals and teams who teach or support learning in South African higher education.

The aims of the 2024 National University Teaching Awards (NUTA) are to:

  • Recognise innovative and inclusive teaching and learning in higher education at a national level.
  • Generate a cadre of academics who can provide inspiration and leadership in teaching and learning in their disciplines across and beyond the institution.
  • Celebrate the unique contextual responsiveness of academics that led to their growth and transformed practice as university teachers.

Toward this end, NUTA will be hosting a series of interactive webinars and in-person workshops as indicated below. More information will be published on the HELTASA Website.
