Auxins are monthly lunch-hour seminars hosted and organized by the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) with interesting guest speakers from all over campus sharing their teaching-learning-assessment innovations and ideas. Given the increasing diversity of SU, the Auxins are aimed at supporting academics in their teaching role to contribute to the delivery of graduates who can contribute to a complex society..
During each term, the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) organizes a Teaching and Learning seminar under the auspices of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (TLA), Prof. Deresh Ramjugernath, and the Division of Learning and Teaching Enhancement. The seminars aim to promote scholarship of teaching and learning. Eminent teaching scholars, such as the SU Teaching Fellows, share their research, innovations, and experiences about teaching, learning, and assessment, followed by a discussion.
The annual Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Conference is an in-house conference offered to SU staff and organized by the Division for Learning and Teaching Enhancement. It aims to address all aspects of teaching-learning-assessment at SU in an open, supportive, and intellectually stimulating atmosphere.
