Campuses 

The main campus in the picturesque university town of Stellenbosch in the heart of the Western Cape Winelands is quite an attraction for students. Stellenbosch is situated about 50 km from Cape Town and just 30 km from Cape Town International Airport.

  1. Stellenbosch Main Campus - 50 km from Cape Town, this is the oldest and largest of SU's campuses. Eight of the 10 academic faculties, two concert halls, a 430-seat theatre, 31 student residences,
  1. Tygerberg - This campus is home to SU's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and encompasses  Tygerberg Academic Hospital.
  1. Bellville Park - This campus houses the University's Graduate School of Business and is situated in Tyger  Valley, midway between Stellenbosch and the centre of Cape Town+ school of public leadership
  2. Ukwanda Rural Clinical School, Worcester - This is the newest and smallest of the five campuses, having opened in 2010 to give medical  and healthcare students exposure to healthcare challenges and conditions in rural South Africa.
  1. Saldanha Campus- Located on the West Coast, Saldanha is the most far-flung of SU's five campuses. It houses the Faculty of Military Science,  which in turn forms part of the South African Military Academy.


The Town 

It's never a dull moment in this historic town. Surrounded by the lush mountain ranges of the Western Cape, it's an area brimming with activities for the young, old and everyone in between. Savour gastronomic treats. Entertain yourself in the many theatres and music halls. And go on some of the best wine tours the country and continent can offer at the more than 200 vineyards located nearby.​ For more information about the town
