Library

With the recent communication and the latest developments regarding COVID-19, a decision has been made to close all library buildings from Saturday, 21 March 2020 until further notice. Library staff will continue to provide services and resources to support students and staff – see www.sun.ac.za/library

Student Counselling and Development (CSCD) support

The Centre for Student Counselling and Development (CSCD) is functioning virtually until further notice, meaning that no staff are present on the CSCD premises on Stellenbosch and Tygerberg campuses. All sessions, however, will continue to be offered mainly virtually or telephonically.

  • For queries related to test and exam concessions, email skryftyd@sun.ac.za
  • For queries related to text conversion/accessible texts related to your assessments, teaching and learning material, email braille@sun.ac.za
  • For test and exam concession applications (Form 1, Form 2 & Form 3), completed forms with collateral information must be sent to skryftyd@sun.ac.za

  • For queries related Assistive Technology Support, email rlr@sun.ac.za.

Public-facing services in Admin A

To mitigate the risk of virus transmission, most public-facing administrative services in Admin A will be conducted remotely. We advise students to utilise our 24/7 digital solutions and to make use of the communication and service channels indicated here

Postgraduate Students

Postgraduate students should regularly consult the Postgraduate Office webpage. A section with FAQs will be available shortly

Postgraduate students and postdoctoral matters: FMHS

This is to inform you that, in an effort to limit personal contact and protect all parties, the Doctoral Office at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences will not be dealing with walk-in enquiries until further notice. Our staff are required to work from home and are fully equipped to do so. We will ensure that our normal levels of service are maintained and will respond to your requests electronically.

We will deal with hard copy document application processing when necessary.

International Students

Stellenbosch University International (SUI) support

SU International is working to support international students on Stellenbosch campus and Stellenbosch University staff and students currently abroad.

However, due to precautions regarding physical distancing and the government instituted lockdown, students are advised to contact staff via email. Our office will be closed from Thursday, 26 March at 12:00 and staff is working remotely.

Our priority is to provide you with information and support and as such we will be sending out daily updates @ 15:00 via email and through social media.
