Psychology CPD WELL is an accredited service provider and has been designed to assist you as a health care practitioner to maintain and develop your academic and professional credentials. The programme offers you a convenient and affordable platform with a variety of options to acquire all your CEUs. This ensures that you are compliant with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as CEUs are mandatory in order to retain your professional registration.
All healthcare practitioners are required to earn 30 continuing education units (CEUs) per year, and a total of at least 60 CEUs in every two-year period. The professional Board for Psychology specified that the required 30 CEUs per year should include 6 ethics units. (The revised guidelines for psychology can also be access on the HPCSA website click on “Psychology” under “CPD” Link.)
Psychology CPD WELL was approved as an official service provider for a maximum of 42 CEUs in 2019 and has applied for accreditation for 2020. Therefore, these 6 units for specifically Ethics also form part of our comprehensive programme for 2020.
PSYCHOLOGY CPD WELL IS A REGISTERED SHORT COURSE AT SU
Psychology CPD WELL is a registered short course at Stellenbosch University (SU) and a hard copy of the certificates, after successful completion, will be posted to participants annually. Participants also receive an electronic transcript indicating your CEUs for the completed year.
Record of the units obtained will be stored on the short course system for quite a while. Please take good care of the certificate as SU's policy indicates that certificates cannot be re-issued. Prospective participants may choose from the following options – click on the option for more information:
Option A: Full-day workshop: Re-visit your Ethical Practice (Level 1: 7 Ethics CEUs)
Option B: Online programme: Professional interest group, study PowerPoint presentations and videos (Level 2: 13,5 CEUs, including 3 Ethics units)
Option C: General (Professional interest group, Level 2: 30 CEUs, including 6 Ethics units)
Option C: Industrial Psychology (Professional interest group, Level 2: 30 CEUs, including 6 Ethics units)
Option D: Profession interest group (Level 2: 18 CEUs, including 3 Ethics units)
Participants may enrol for any of the individual options as well as a combination for some options as indicated in the registration table below.
Only a combination of options as well as Option C will enable you to qualify for the required yearly units (minimum 30 points including 6 ethic points) Individual choices A, B or D on its own will NOT comply for the yearly points.
Option D makes it possible to qualify for an additional 18 points, including 3 ethics points. This option is directed a psychologist, counsellors and psychometrists who need additional points to comply with the HPCSA regulations.
how to register?
The Psychology CPD Well programme is a comprehensive
one-year programme. Enrollment is done annually and participants are under no obligation to enroll for more than one year. All electronic articles and presentations will remain available until the questionnaires have been successfully completed, or up until the closing date of Friday, 27 November 2020.

As seating for Option A is limited, registration is subject to availability.
Each registration will be confirmed by e-mail.
Participants register annually for one or more of the four options.
Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
Following the completion of each year’s sessions, participants will be issued a Psychology CPD Well CEU certificate.

28 February 2020.
Please note: Cancellations made on or before 22 February 2020 will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee. For cancellations after this date, the full registration fee will unfortunately be forfeited.

In the event of unforeseen disruptions, SU cannot be held responsible for any losses incurred by delegates. The programme is correct at the time of printing but Stellenbosch University reserves the right to alter the programme. If and when deemed necessary. Delegates should make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance.
