ACADEMIC SUPPORT
At the Disability Unit, we provide students with
academic support to assist them where and when needed. We offer support in the
following ways:
Special tests and exams
Special arrangements can be made for students who
need additional time or other support to complete tests and exams. The Unit
works closely with the Exams Office to facilitate special arrangements for
students with disabilities. Click here to find out more about application deadlines or to download and print the application form. Once you have downloaded, filled-in and printed your form, e-mail it to skryftyd@sun.ac.za.
Study materials
If you require specialised, formatted study
materials, visit Room 367 at HUMARGA (in the Arts and Social Sciences building)
to discuss what you need and find out how you can access materials for your
specific needs. E-mail braille@sun.ac.za for more information.
Specialised assistive technology
Specialised computers with screen reading,
magnifying and text-to-speech software such as JAWS, Read & Write, and
ZoomText, Braille embossers and digital magnifiers available. Contact Petro

available at the Stellenbosch University Library and the Theology and Music
