Racism and harassment investigations
Stellenbosch University strongly condemns the incident at Huis Marais. The alleged perpetrator was suspended from the University and excluded from Huis Marais, pending the detailed and swift investigation that is currently underway. While the investigation is receiving priority attention, due process must be followed to secure a solidly defensible outcome that must set the precedent to avoid such incidents on SU’s campuses in future. A final outcome is expected in the next few days.
