COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019)
Stellenbosch University (SU) is closely monitoring developments surrounding the coronavirus disease outbreak (COVID-19, caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2) that was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation.
We have set up an overarching Institutional Committee for Business Continuity to oversee and synthesise input from 11 subcommittees, each focusing on key facets of the University’s activities affected by the pandemic. These are facilities and security, international matters, student housing, Registrar’s matters, human resources, student affairs, communication, online learning and assessment, information technology (IT), medical matters, and research.
We are doing everything we possibly can to ensure that our students can complete their academic year, and that the University remains sustainable. Please stay informed of the latest developments communicated via our official channels.
