The Unit for Graduand Career Services recently held the annual Career Fairs on 4 and 5 August in marquee tents on the Rooiplein.

Both days were a huge success!

In spite of the Public Holiday on 3 Aug (Municipal Elections) the turn out from both exhibitors and students exceeded expectations.

The Career Fairs offer students the opportunity to network with companies and ask their burning questions about career opportunities and other career related information.

Forty companies exhibited at the Accounting Career Fair on 4 Aug, and close to 4 500 visits by SU students were made to this exhibit.

Due to the Public Holiday the General and Engineering Career Fairs had to be combined on 5 August. A total of 59 exhibitors showcased the career opportunities at their individual companies. Approximately 5 000 visits were paid to this Fair.

Companies expressed their appreciation for the opportunity and the exposure they get on campus.

• Nice to see that the students are determined to start their careers.
