We believe that mentoring contributes towards achieving the following outcomes:

  • Orientation to SU / Induction into a new job and culture / Understanding of formal and informal structures.

  • Enabling professional and personal networks to be developed / Finding collegiality and community / Assistance in identifying sources of support

  • Assisting with career advancement, self-development and continuous professional development.

  • Helping to cope with transitions such as moving into a new job or role.

         Any staff member requiring access to a mentor can speak to their HR Practitioner of contact Almene Potgieter.


​Coaching is available to all staff members to support and enhance their personal and professional effectiveness.
