Addressing the role of the vaccine in campus COVID-19 prevention: Weeding our way through mistrust and misinformation
Campus Health Service, together with the Centre for Student Communities and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), will host two vaccine webinars on Tuesday 7 September and Thursday 9 September 2021, both running from 16:00–18:00.
The webinars will focus on various topics related to the COVID-19 vaccine, such as the importance of getting vaccinated, myths around the vaccine and access to the vaccine. Guest speakers include Prof Wolfgang Preiser, Head of the Division of Medical Virology at the FMHS, and Dr Jantjie Taljaard, Senior Lecturer at the Division for Infectious Diseases at the FMHS.
The campus community is also invited to submit questions related to the vaccine or COVID-19 to email@example.com. These questions will be addressed during the webinar.
