​No fewer than 13 players of the Steinhoff Maties Hockey Club were selected for the International Summer Series.

The players in the men’s group are Rob McKinley, Dylan Swanepoel, Daniel Bell, Alex Stewart, Charlie Bowren, Matt de Souza, Bili Ntuli and Keenan Horne. Erin Hunter and Jade Mayne were included in the women’s squad, while Nicole la Fleur, Tarryn Glasby and Heather McEwan were selected for the SA A team.

The men will play in matches against Canada, Ireland and Spain. All the action will take place at the Hartleyvale Stadium. The women will face Germany, India, Scotland and Canada. Dates and venues for the women’s games are not yet known, but it will probably be in February.
