Writing Lab workshops that we sponsor postgraduates to attend on specific dates:
These postgraduate workshops, presented by the Language Centre's Writing Lab, focus on the type of writing required by SU Master's and doctoral students for their postgraduate studies.
Four Academic Writing workshops are on offer: Academic Arguments, Introduction to Academic Writing Skills, Academic Writing Skills for Theses and Dissertations, and Writing a Literature Review. Although they are presented by the Writing Lab, these specific ones below are funded by the Postgraduate Office.
Cost:
There is no cost for registered SU postgraduates who sign up and attend, however, in the case of late cancellations or non-attendance, applicants will be responsible for the full workshop fee since late cancellations and non-attendance have considerable cost implications for our office.
Academic writing webinars presented by our Programme:
These webinars are presented and sponsored by the Postgraduate Office. They focus on what successful academic writers do and on mastering the golden thread of academic argument. All registered SU postgraduates are welcome to sign up for these webinars.
