Postdoctoral Research Fellowships are usually awarded to individuals within five years of receiving a doctoral degree for the purpose of engaging in a period of dedicated research. Fellowships are awarded for a minimum of one year and a maximum of five years. Postdoctoral fellows play an increasingly important role in furthering the research of the University. We are privileged to have postdoctoral fellows from all over the world at Stellenbosch University.
The complete administration of postdoctoral fellowships is handled by the Division for Research Development, in conjunction with the International Office (for international postdoctoral fellows).
