Join a Change Enablement Community of Practice
Help to shape the future of Stellenbosch University by joining a Change Enablement Community of Practice.
What is a Community of Practice?
A Community of Practice is a group of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly.
Why should I join?
Communities of practice offer many benefits to those who belong to them, and to the organisation as a whole.
-
Members of these communities get help with the challenges they face, access to expertise, their confidence is boosted, and they have fun with colleagues as they do meaningful work. Long-term benefits include developing their reputation and professional identity, while improving their marketability via networking.
- For
organisations, short-term benefits include problem solving, time saving, knowledge sharing, synergies across units, and reuse of resources. In the long term, they increase their strategic capabilities, talent retention and innovation, and can develop new strategies by remaining abreast of developments in their industry.
How will it work?
When you join a Change Enablement Community of Practice you can look forward to:
- Team engagements in a way that works for you,
- Contribute to a Digital Connect survey (to be completed by individuals or teams)
- Learn from webchats with experts,
- Engage in face-to-face discussions with others in your field.
