​​​​Mosa Phadi completed her PhD at the University of Johannesburg. She recently joined the prestigious American Council of Learned Societies as a fellow on its African Humanities Postdoctoral Fellowship programme, an opportunity that allowed her to travel to Ghana to do archival research for her study titled W.E.B. Du Bois in South Africa: Tracing What it Means to be Black. She co-authored two groundbreaking reports on the Limpopo Province local municipalities of Mogalakwena and Lephalale. She has worked as a researcher for over six years, published several peer-reviewed works and produced a research documentary film focusing on the middle class in Soweto.
