Stellenbosch University (SU) mourns the death of Allan Gray - entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist – who has made such a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Since 2012, his Allan Gray Orbis Foundation has been one of our most valuable partners – providing bursary support to more than 50 Maties studying in the fields of science, commerce, engineering, humanities and law. In addition to bursary support, the Foundation has been working closely with Innovus, our innovation company, to assist and develop students in the entrepreneurial space.

Allan Gray will be remembered with a tremendous sense of gratitude because of his investment in education and the future of South Africa's bright young minds. We believe his impact will be felt for generations to come as these students go out and make a positive difference in society.
