MEng student at Industrial Engineering excels at IAMOT

​​​​​​The 27th Annual Conference of the International Association for Management of Technology (IAMOT) took place from 22 – 26 April 2018 in Birmingham, England.  The primary focus of the conference was to bring together researchers, scholars and industry participants from around the world to share their experiences and latest research results in all aspects of technology management, technological innovation, engineering economics, industrial development, sustainability.

Megan Rautenbach, a second-year MEng student at the Department of Industrial Engineering, attended the IAMOT conference and received the “Best Student Paper" award.  Megan presented an article entitled “A Systems Engineering Approach to Business Sustainability", which essentially proposes an innovative way to address business sustainability. Megan is part of the Health Systems Engineering and Innovation Hub at the Department of Industrial Engineering, and her supervisors are Ms Imke de Kock, Prof Alan Brent and Ms Louzanne Bam.
