​As part of a visit to the Department of Physiological Sciences at SU, Dr Cherilyn M. Sirois, Scientific Editor at Cell, will give a talk on “Publishing your work: insider advice from a scientific editor".

More about the speaker

Cheri Sirois is currently a scientific editor at the journal Cell. She began her career as a laboratory research scientist, obtaining a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in the United States, and completing postdoctoral work at the Centers for Therapeutic Innovation at Pfizer in Boston. A teacher at heart, Cheri was a professor of immunology and microbiology at the Universidad de Las Americas in Quito, Ecuador, and at Springfield College in Massachusetts, USA, prior to joining the editorial staff of Cell Press in 2018. She is currently based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. ​
