1.   What does strategic planning entail?

It is the manner in which SU defines its short- and long-term goals in a structured way and then determines a strategy to achieve those goals.

2.   Why are the vision and strategy being revised now?​

SU's existing strategic document, the Institutional Intent and Strategy 2013–2018 draws to a close in 2018. A new document is therefore needed. And because the vision and strategy are so closely connected, the vision is revised at the same time.

3.   What is the anticipated end result?​​

A new vision, Vision 2040, and a new strategic document, the SU Strategic Framework 2019–2024.​
