​​​​Science Communication Training and Fame Lab Competition this October 2020

Are you eager to receive expert training in science communication and to take part in our upcoming institutional Fame Lab heat? We will be hosting this super opportunity in collaboration with Jive Media Africa virtually this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. We are looking for brave and talented SU Master’s or doctoral scientists who would like to learn how to explain a science concept to a ​lay audience in just 3 minutes. If you feel you can excite, intrigue and entertain with your science, then please apply now as places are limited!
Requirements: The competition is open to SU Master's and doctoral candidates aged between 21 to 35 who are studying technology, engineering, medicine, biology (including agriscience), chemistry, physics or mathematics. Please contact alisonb@sun.ac.za should you be interested in taking part in the training but you find that you do not meet the heat requirements.

Reliable internet connectivity for the online training and heat is crucial.
